Introducing Judy Oliver

Judy Oliver founded Oliver and Company (UK) Limited in 1997 to specialise in facilitation, leadership and partnership development for individuals and teams, particularly those in leadership roles across all sectors and multi-agency partnerships. She is a natural networker and excels at making connections between people, professionals, organisations and good ideas.

Judy’s career began with British Petroleum (BP) who sponsored her to study for a business studies degree and then to go on to be called to the Bar. As BP International’s Management Development Adviser, Judy looked after the high-potential managers and their development and she led on the creation of the first public-private sector MBA programme in partnership with Warwick Business School.

The Economist commissioned Judy to write a special report on international executive education and then she joined Kent County Council to head up Human Resources in its Education Department during the transition to local management of schools and colleges. Subsequently Judy was appointed Adviser to the Deputy Chief Executive, Kent County Council and became involved in general management and the development of strategic partnerships with district councils, the NHS and European Regional Councils.

For over 12 years Judy has been a non-executive director in the NHS in both Hospitals and Primary Care Trusts. She is also founder and coordinator of the women’s leadership network known as A New Kind of Leadership (ANKLe).
