With a background in children’s nursing in both the acute and community sector, Laura progressed through to the level of Associate Director of Nursing within CCGs and has had particular responsibility for continuing health care for adults and children as well as being the quality contract lead for private sector organisations, delivering over £1.8m savings through a service improvement programme. She also worked in the charity sector as a Director of Governance and Quality before carrying out a range of consultancy assignments related to quality and safety.
Laura’s special interest is in Quality Improvement and has a Masters in Improvement Science.
Laura is particularly passionate about improving the patient’s experience of health care and is currently taking a particular focus in the services provided in care homes run by the independent sector to identify how real improvements can be made.
